Invoice generator

Writes the total in words using lakh and crore for PKR, and thousand and million for GBP, EUR and USD — and remembers your business profile in your browser, with no account.

In short

An invoice generator builds a printable sales invoice from your business details, your client and your line items. This one calculates discount and sales tax, writes the total in words using lakh and crore for PKR, and exports a PDF with real, selectable text. Nothing is uploaded; the invoice is built in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Add your logo and business details. They are remembered in this browser for next time.
  2. Enter the client, the invoice number and the dates.
  3. Add each line with a description, quantity and rate. Amounts update as you type.
  4. Enter the sales tax and any discount that apply to you. The tool applies the rates you type; it does not decide them.
  5. Check the live A4 preview, then download the PDF, an editable CSV sheet or a PNG image for WhatsApp.

How it calculates

Each line’s amount is its quantity multiplied by its rate, and the subtotal is the sum of the lines. Sums are done in whole paisa (or pence or cents), so the figures add up exactly. The total is written in words using lakh and crore for PKR, and thousand, million and billion for GBP, EUR, USD and AED.

Discount comes off the subtotal before tax, so tax is charged on the reduced amount. The tool applies one tax rate to the whole invoice; if you must charge different rates on different items, issue separate invoices.

In the example above, the lines work out as 120 × 485 = 58,200.00; 120 × 95 = 11,400.00; 1 × 4,500 = 4,500.00. The subtotal is 74,100.00. With 18% sales tax of 13,338.00 the total is 87,438.00, written as “Eighty seven thousand four hundred and thirty eight rupees only”.

Who should use it

  • Freelancers and small traders who bill in PKR
  • Service businesses that need a clean invoice with NTN and STRN printed on it
  • Anyone who invoices a few times a month and does not want to buy accounting software

Who should not use this

  • Businesses that must issue invoices through an integrated system connected to FBR — that needs certified software, not a PDF generator
  • Anyone who needs invoices stored as an auditable record, with sequence control and a ledger
  • Businesses that need statutory tax filings; this produces a document, not a return

Limitations

  • The tool applies the tax rate you type. It does not look up or verify rates.
  • The PDF is drawn with standard PDF fonts. Urdu or other non-Latin text cannot be drawn into the PDF yet; use the Image export for those.
  • Amounts in words are in English only, and are limited to amounts below one trillion.
  • Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server. Clearing your browser data also removes the saved profile.

Common questions

Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?
No. The invoice is built on your own device. The only thing stored is your business profile and logo, in this browser’s local storage, and you can clear it with one button.
How is the amount in words written for PKR?
Using the lakh and crore system: 1,25,000 is written as one lakh twenty-five thousand rupees. For GBP, EUR, USD and AED the tool switches to thousand, million and billion.
Is the PDF text selectable?
Yes. The PDF is drawn from text and lines rather than a screenshot, so you can select, search and copy the text, and the file stays small.
Does this make my invoice FBR-compliant?
No claim of that kind is made. It prints the NTN and STRN you enter and applies the tax rate you enter. If you are required to use an FBR-integrated invoicing system, use that system.
