Donation receipt generator

Prints the donation type (zakat, sadaqah, lillah or your own) on each receipt, writes the amount in lakh and crore words, and carries signature lines for the receiver and treasurer.

In short

A donation receipt is written proof that a masjid, madrasa or charity received money from a donor. This generator prints your logo, a serial number, the donor, each donation with its purpose, the total in words and signature lines. Download it as a PDF, sheet or image. Nothing is uploaded; it is built in your browser.

How to use it

  1. Add your institution’s logo, name and contact details. They are remembered in this browser.
  2. Enter the donor and the receipt number. The number continues from your last receipt.
  3. Add one line for each donation with its purpose and amount, and type the donation type, such as zakat, sadaqah or lillah.
  4. Enter who received the money and how it was paid.
  5. Check the live A4 preview, then download the PDF, an editable sheet or a PNG image for WhatsApp.

How it calculates

Each line’s amount is its quantity multiplied by its rate, and the subtotal is the sum of the lines. Sums are done in whole paisa (or pence or cents), so the figures add up exactly. The total is written in words using lakh and crore for PKR, and thousand, million and billion for GBP, EUR, USD and AED.

Each line is a separate donation with its own purpose, and the total is their sum. No tax is applied. The tool prints the donation type you type, such as zakat, sadaqah or lillah, exactly as written; it does not decide whether a payment qualifies as any of them.

In the example above, the lines work out as 1 × 50,000 = 50,000.00; 1 × 10,000 = 10,000.00. The subtotal is 60,000.00. The total is 60,000.00, written as “Sixty thousand rupees only”.

Who should use it

  • Masjid and madrasa committees that issue receipts from a printed book
  • Small charities and welfare groups that need a consistent, signed receipt
  • Anyone collecting contributions who wants the amount written in words to prevent alteration

Who should not use this

  • Registered charities that must issue receipts from audited accounting software for tax-exemption claims
  • Anyone who needs this to decide whether a gift counts as zakat; that is a question for a qualified scholar
  • Institutions that need an auditable ledger with sequence control; this makes documents, not books of account

Limitations

  • The tool prints the donation type you type. It does not apply or check any religious or tax rule.
  • Receipt numbers continue from the last one saved in this browser only; they are not shared across devices.
  • The PDF is drawn with standard PDF fonts. Urdu or other non-Latin text cannot be drawn into the PDF yet; use the Image export for those.
  • Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server. Clearing your browser data also removes the saved profile.

Common questions

Can I print zakat, sadaqah and lillah on the same receipt?
Yes. Add one line per donation and describe each purpose, then type the main donation type in the field provided. The tool prints what you enter.
Is the donor’s information uploaded?
No. The receipt is built on your own device. Only your institution’s profile and logo are remembered, in this browser, and you can clear them with one button.
Does this make the receipt valid for tax purposes?
No. It produces a clear written receipt. Whether it is accepted for any tax claim depends on the institution’s registration and the rules that apply to it.
